I decided to do a Mother’s Day Giveaway for a number of reason’s, the first being, I know Mom’s love to have pictures of their family, they normally end up being the ones taking the pictures and are rarely in them! I thought it would be fun to do a session with a mom and her child! Just them! My thought was to pick the most touching story and that would be my winner but I could not! All Mom’s are great, I do not believe one is better or more deserving for their accomplishments or trials. So I selected the winner through random.org and the Winner was Melanie East. Her husband submitted her and this is what he said. “I would like to nominate my wife for the Mother’s Day photo session giveaway. She is a wonderful wife and mother, and I have no idea how she does it all. She works full-time, has a growing blog, and still finds time to assist me with my youth ministry.
Thank you for this giveaway.”
I asksed Melanie a Few Question for my blog. She is an amazing mom, wife and crafty also! You should def. check out her blog!
Occupation: I never see my occupation as a black and white answer. By day, I’m an xray technologist at a doctor’s office, I’m a mother all the time, and I write, blog, and craft on the side.
Blog Name and What It’s About: Bear Rabbit Bear Crafts. I write about all the little things that I make for our home and my daughter. I may share a recipe one day, or a fun felt craft the next. I enjoy sharing my projects and meeting new readers- especially local ones. As my blog is growing, I usually have some sore of fun give-away going on, as well. Yay for free stuff!
Best Motherly Advice: As the wife of a youth minister, it’s difficult for me to not write an entire paragraph about this subject. For parents of small kids, I advise to just soak in every moment. It’s easy to get busy with crazy life and forget to do this, but kids grow up so quickly and turn into technology driven teenagers who share more with peers than parents. Try to plan a few special times a week for your child. It doesn’t have to be anything big or expensive. Blogs, Pinterest, and the internet are excellent ways to find free activities to do with kids. My little one thinks it’s the best thing ever when we eat dinner outside in the yard for a “picnic” or I let her splash in the puddles in the drive-way after it rains. It won’t be long before it takes a lot more than that for her to think I’m awesome, so I’m immersing myself in this sweet pre-school time while I can.
and of course I cannot end this post without a few pictures!
